The fully hardy foxtail lily prefers a sandy, well-drained soil.
Planting
In the spring, you can plant the Eremurus stenophyllus fleshy tubers directly into the garden. Prepare a wide, shallow hole approximately 10 cm deep. The planting distance should be 40-60 cm apart.
Care
Make sure the soil does not dry out, especially in the spring. In the summer, Eremurus stenophyllus tolerate drought fairly well. Cut off faded flower stems completely. Every spring fertilize the plant with granulated cow manure.
STORAGE
The young shoots of Eremurus are sensitive to frost. If necessary, protect them if there are any signs of late night frosts.
