Position
It prefers sunny or in the middle shaded places. The more sun the position the more water they need.
Soil
Camassia grows best in fertile, well-drained soil.
Planting
Plant the bulbs in a planting hole that is three times as deep as the height of the bulbs. A bulb of 5 cm should be planted in a 15 cm deep hole. The planting distance of Camassia leichtlinii 'Caerulea' is about 10 cm. Loosen the soil well and plant the bulbs with the point facing upwards and the roots downwards. Refill the planting hole and avoid walking over the soil.
Care
For a good growth, we recommend sprinkling flower bulb fertilizer around the base of the leaves immediately after the flowering period. This will ensure a rich growth for the following year. After flowering, leave the foliage of the Camassia to die down naturally and cut back when it has turned yellow. Make sure you use fresh potting soil and put a layer of gravel or hydropellets at the bottom of the pot.
STORAGE
The bulbs of Camassia can remain in the same spot for years.
