Position
Freesia is a perfect cut flower but it has to be cut after it blossoms. Freesias can be planted in small or large groups. For freesia choose the position of sunny or lightly shaded.
Soil
Freesias need light and pervious soil with large amount of humus.
Planting
Freesias should be planted 8-10 cm deep between April/May and September /October. Bulbs sensitive to frost, best planted in containers.
Care
Bulbs don’t tolerate low temperatures and after planting they need regular watering. In order to grow properly, they need much light. Freesias require a lot of watering in the dry season and mixed fertilizers in hungry soil.
STORAGE
Tubers store covered with sawdust or sand in a container or substrate overdried at about 15°C.
