You must Choose a place with lots of shade (part shade is ok, but definitely not in full sun).
Soil
Arum Italicum is a tuber that occurs naturally in woodland and hedgerows and loves humus and lime rich, moderately moist soil.
Planting
Prepare a large planting hole loosen the soil with a fork and work some potting compost and lime through the soil. Place the tuber with the growing tip upwards and make sure the top of the tuber is at the correct planting depth which should be about twice the height of the tuber (approximately 10-12 cm). Refill the hole and press firmly. Water the tubers immediately.
Care
During the flowering and seeding period Arums prefer a moist soil. In the autumn, they can tolerate the soil being more on the drier side. During the time of the formation of the foliage, the plants can be fertilized with granulated cow manure or fertiliser. This will strengthen the tuber in preparation for the following year.
STORAGE
Arum Italian are hardy - for harsh winters they should be at rest.
