Position
Tulips grow best in full sun. Also surrounded by deciduous trees and shrubs, because they usually bloom before the plants are fully develop leaves. High and medium varieties well suited for garden rebates. Low varieties planted also in rock gardens and containers.
Soil
As for the soil conditions the best for this plant are light and fertile soil. An important factor is that the soil was well drained.
Planting
Plant bulbs in well dug soil about 8-10cm deep and approx 15cm apart. It is often beneficial to use a little bonemeal or super phosphate mixed in with the soil.
Care
After the tulips have bloomed and when leaves fade and turn brown the bulbs can be lifted, dried, cleaned and stored in a cool place until planting time.
STORAGE
Tulips should be dry, then purify and store in baskets in a dry and well-ventilated place. Tulips can remain in the garden without digging for several years.
