Position

Fritillaria are moisture-loving plants by nature and grow best in fertile, well-drained soil.
Planting
Fritillaria Imperialis bulbs can be planted at 15-20cm deep and 20cm apart. They can be planted in the garden, a flower pot or in a planter.
Care
When the foliage looks untidy it is best left to die down naturally and this will direct the energy back into the bulbs for the following year. Water more frequently during dry periods. Protect the bulbs from severe frost by covering the ground with a layer of leaves or straw.
Storage
Bulbs planted in a flower pot are not usually frost resistant. If we are going to store the bulbs, it is chosen to have an airy place where it is not too hot. Generally Fritillaria leave at the same place for several years.
